Auxiliary equipment: roles and routine checks
Understand the different roles of slitting, recycling and supporting systems before choosing an operating procedure.
Identify the equipment
Slitters divide film rolls into the required widths. Recycling and pelletising equipment processes suitable plastic feedstock. Cooling, material handling and other auxiliary systems support the main line. These machines have different duties and do not share one universal startup sequence.
Match the production line
Check material suitability, capacity, working width, roll dimensions and interfaces, together with the required power, air and cooling services. Coordinate speeds and tension between connected machines to avoid a bottleneck.
Operation and maintenance
Inspect guards, emergency stops, drives and connections before starting. Monitor temperature, load, noise and material condition during operation. Use the instructions for the specific machine when cleaning, maintaining or clearing a blockage. Contact the service team with the model details for the appropriate documentation.
